Corporation for National and Community Service

The Corporation for National and Community Service, an independent federal agency that administers the Domestic Volunteer Service Act, has $200 million in new funds, $6 million of which is designated for information technology upgrades. The corporation said the upgrades are needed so that its IT systems are managed in a cost-effective manner and operated in a stable and secure facility with appropriate safeguards and backup plans.
The corporation also plans to competitively award a major contract to move its computer and network operations centers out of its Washington headquarters facility. In addition, the corporation will use existing contracts to upgrade its information technology hardware and software.
