What's New in Release 2
Windows Server® 2008 is designed to deliver increased reliability and control over your server infrastructure. Since its introduction, the OS has been updated to Windows Server 2008 Release 2, which expands the existing technology with the following additional features:

- Easier administration and support of Web-based applications using Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5
- Security enhancements
- Windows® 7 integration that offers faster branch office downloads by BranchCache™ and easy, secure Internet connection without virtual private network (VPN) by DirectAccess™.
- Cluster Shared Volumes, which enhance live migration and provide for easier storage management.
- Remote Desktop Services that provide both users and administrators greater flexibility and improved end-user experience.
