Laptops

Anywhere, Anytime Access

Your workforce expects work location flexibility and instant access to stay productive. Your IT staff needs to protect corporate data. Now you can have both.

Get true any time/any place access to your productivity resources — while they remain safe in a data center — with Virtual Remote Desktop/Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VRD/VDI and Client Hosted Virtualization (CHV) architecture.

Both VRD and CHV enable you to work with your virtual resources and your traditional desktop resources using the same laptop. But only CHV enables you to download your virtual session to your laptop, terminate your network connection and continue working with your virtual resources. These resources remain completely isolated from the rest of your desktop environment. The server virtual session gets updated the next time you connect to the server.

Dell also supports desktop virtualization with many other laptop models. See the list below. Shared management tools, peripherals and services can enhance productivity and help simplify every phase of the laptop life cycle.
