Configuring iDRAC6 for Directory Services

iDRAC6 (Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller, version 6) can use industry standard directory services for user authentication and privilege control. Learn how to set up iDRAC6 to work with Active Directory®, Novell®, Fedora®, OpenDS and OpenLDAP™ directory services.

Included are detailed configuration instructions for both iDRAC6 and the directory services. In general, if you already have existing directory services setup, the only additional configuration needed is on the iDRAC6 side. If, however, you want to use Dell™ Extended Schema for Active Directory, then additional configuration is needed on the Active Directory server side.

iDRAC is advanced embedded server management built into Dell servers, which provides comprehensive and secure remote access for server administration.
