Dell YouthConnect

We listen and learn from communities around the world every day. Today 72 million children globally are out of school and lack access to the facilities, teachers and content they need to learn even the most basic skills. Dell is at the forefront of helping to change this by placing state-of-the-art technology into underserved communities and working with global non-profit organizations to teach information and communication technology (ICT) skills. By doing so, the Dell™ YouthConnect program helps young people discover new possibilities and change their lives.

Dell YouthConnect
How it works

Community and non-profit organizations often lack the resources necessary to advance their mission and serve their community, including technology and technical expertise for educational facilities or community centers.

Dell YouthConnect provides partners with grant funding as well as our latest technology. As important, a local Dell Champion manages the deployment and upkeep of Dell systems, and local team members volunteer their time to support the organization’s needs. Dell also addresses any basic or community needs that might hamper a child’s ability to learn like food or security. This shared responsibility between Dell and the community — supported by Dell volunteers — brings about real learning opportunities and change.

Who we help
Grant recipients are non-profit organizations that deliver programs that teach ICT skills, preparing young people for success in a globalized, technology-driven society. Special consideration is given to organizations that demonstrate innovative uses of technology to inspire learning.
