Dell Social Innovation Challenge

More than just a competition, we are a community of support for global social entrepreneurship

Every great business starts with an idea. Dell itself was founded in a dorm room more than 25 years ago. Entrepreneurship is in our DNA, and we are committed to fostering that spirit in others. In partnership with The University of Texas, the Dell Social Innovation Challenge invites college students around the world to enter their transformative ideas for solving social problems. In doing so, the participants have a chance to win $50,000 to advance their project, while partnering with Dell mentors to gain critical business knowledge and skills. Beyond the competition, the Dell Social Innovation Challenge also offers a strong community of support.

Inspiring and equipping student social entrepreneurs is one of the four key focus areas of our corporate giving program. The Dell Social Innovation Challenge is also our way to support institutions, such as The University of Texas, that are pioneering a new model of engaged education, so that social entrepreneurship grows stronger as a purpose-driven way of doing business for the greater good.
