Dell is committed to ensuring that pertinent information about its progress on corporate responsibility matters is publicly available. This year, we’re enhancing our strategy on how we communicate our progress. We’re redefining what is published in our summary report, expanding content on dell.com and designating an area on dell.com for corporate responsibility reporting.

Understanding the Need for Corporate Responsibility Content

We know that customers, stakeholders and employees need access to corporate responsibility content. Our solution for providing this information is a corporate-responsibility content and information management strategy that leverages dell.com, and a summary report of our highlights.

Expanding the Options for Presenting Content

We’ve found that certain stakeholders still value and appreciate a printed report, while others prefer an online copy. So, this year is a transition year. We’re still offering a summary report that reviews and highlights our progress, but we’re building richer content on dell.com/corporateresponsibility to supplement the information in the printed report.

Making dell.com the Source for Content

We believe that dell.com is the simplest and most accessible way for anyone to find information about Dell. Moving forward, dell.com will become our primary method for delivering corporate responsibility content. We’ve taken a simple approach to making dell.com easier to navigate and have already achieved three successes in this area. The first, launched in March 2009, is Dell Earth — a redesigned umbrella site for all things green at Dell. The second achievement, a redesigned corporate responsibility site, was launched in July 2009. The third accomplishment was elevating the corporate responsibility topic to dell.com’s main page. If you visit dell.com today, you’ll find a “Corporate Responsibility” link under the “About Dell” heading.
