Mr. Duberstein is chairman and CEO of The Duberstein Group, Inc., an independent strategic planning and consulting firm advising leading corporations and a select group of trade associations. During the 1980s, Mr. Duberstein served as a key member of the Reagan Administration in his role as White House Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff and Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. Mr. Duberstein began his public service on Capitol Hill as an assistant to Senator Jacob K. Javits and later as Deputy Under Secretary of Labor under the Ford Administration. He also served as Director of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. General Services Administration. Prior to joining the Reagan Administration, Mr. Duberstein was Vice President and Director of Business-Government Relations of the Committee for Economic Development and Vice President of the Government Relations firm, Timmons & Company, Inc. In 1989, he was awarded by President Reagan the President’s Citizens Medal. He serves as Lead Director of The Boeing Company, and also on the boards of ConocoPhillips and The Travelers Companies. He is a lifetime Trustee of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and serves on various other not-for-profit boards and committees including the Council on Foreign Relations, the Brookings Institution, Harvard University/Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics Senior Advisory Committee, the National Endowment for Democracy and the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
