Mark Gerhard has always had a deep love of both technology and computer games. The more he learned about Jagex, the creators of the worlds largest free online fantasy role-playing game RuneScape.com, the more he knew, he just had to join their team. “I really thought I was already at the very sharp end of technology but joining Jagex showed me there was a whole new world of technology to learn," says Mark.

A year later, he had become CEO with a vision to build on Jagex’s phenomenal success as the UK’s largest independent games developer and publisher, and take it forward into exciting new R&D projects. To achieve this goal, Jagex needs partners it can rely on. “We use Dell exclusively because we want one vendor to provide us with everything worldwide,” explains Mark. “I want to be able to say ‘I need these servers and these firewalls in this location in seven days time.’ Dell does that.”
