Started in 2002 by Berj and three friends, Soho VFX delivers visual effects for feature films. However, its beginning could have used a few special effects. “We were operating in an old building in downtown Toronto. They actually boarded up an elevator shaft and put floors and ceilings inside the elevator shaft and we had a tiny little office inside there. It was humble beginnings and we try to remember where we came as we keep growing into the hundreds as we are now,” explains Berj. |  |
| While Berj notes that it’s his people and their creativity and imaginations that fuel Soho VFX, having the right technology partner in a supporting role is just as critical. “Technology is the foundation of what we do. Which means that the technology has to be seamless.And so while technology isn’t doing the work, it’s our toolbox. Without the technology we don’t have anything to do,” says Berj. “Dell has been an excellent partner for us. We haven’t had a relationship with another company that’s been quite like Dell. Dell has given us more than we’ve ever needed from our technology.
