The Dell™ Management Plug-In for VMware vCenter lets you seamlessly manage both your physical and virtual infrastructure.

From a single console, you can:

  • Get the same full server details you get from Dell OpenManage™, like quantity and type for memory, NIC, power supplies, processors and RAC.
  • Update the BIOS and firmware of your PowerEdge servers with wizard-driven utilities.
  • Use templates to meet compliance rules for BIOS standards, and pair hypervisor and BIOS templates as needed to quickly ready the hardware for the hypervisor.
  • Set the VMware® vMotion™ tool to require manual approval of application alerts, allow it to automatically remediate, or choose from various degrees in between.
  • Check your warranty details and status, eliminating the need to hunt down information on server age or EOL.
  • Get a quick, high-level view of your Dell server cluster, seeing what hardware inventory is in each server.
